    Default 1st major scroll-saw jobbie

Got me a scroll-saw a little while back and decided to have a play around.
Did the curved cutting with a spiral blade and the rest with a flat blade.

Hi pawoods, on the straight section, I marked out two end points and a centre in the plane that lies on the centre axis and then two points at the 1/4 and 3/4 points on the plane at right angles to the first plane. Used tape to find a path for the blade to follow between the drilled holes on the centre lines, just visible in the photos.
Set a guide on the saw table to keep the blade in the centre of the wood, then moved the timber along the guide slowly turning the job to follow the tape, I could only do 90 degrees at a time then reset the blade to do another cut.
    Hope this isn't too confusing.

Will definitely have to try that when I get my saw. Very impressive!
