    Default 2009 Perth Wood Show

    For the second year running our small (in membership - now about 12) had a stand at the Perth Wood Show. We don't sell, at least not so far, as we don't pay for the stand. Our hope is to obtain more members which happened as a result of last year's Show - gained about four members!! Interest shown by visitors was very good and we were again, as last year, quite surprised by the number of people who said 'I've one of those in the shed'. We are hoping that we will again add to our membership.
    Surprisingly, at least we thought so, we get no encouragement from Carbatec nor Timbecon - mind we didn't ask for any. We did send some enquirers off to both those firm's stands and Helen Harris was also well supported by our recommendations. The Australian Scroll Saw Network also got a mention (some of our members belong).

    Great work guys. How many new members did you get this year? It's good that the show does not charge you for your stand. Its not very often that you get large events like that, that are kind hearted.

    Despite quite a few "see you there on Tuesday" we had no visitors this week. However if last year is any guide, hopefully, some will come over the year. One, now regular new member, from last year's show, first showed up just a couple of months ago.
