back again
hi, just getting back in to scroll sawing after about a 7 year break. i had a 21 inch delta saw which was quite a good saw. i have ordered a 21 inch general saw from carba-tech which i think will be just fine for what i want to do. i would be happy to get some advice on scroll saw blades as all knowledge on them has gone out the window. i will probably be cutting 15 mill hardwood to start with. i like the idea of clock movements to get going with so any advice would be thankful.

Good to see you back into it again ,you have bought yourself a nice saw there,I myself have a Carba-Tech variable speed 18" saw & mainly use No 3 & No 5 Blades,& that should suit you just fine with the timber you intend to cut ,I buy my blades off Helen Harris [email protected] She can also provide a small catalogue with all the blade sizes & uses in it & provides friendly & fast service. Hope to see some of your work posted here in the near future. Hope this has been of some help. p.s She can also provide a Quick release blade holder although pricey at around $55 but well worth it. Cheers Peter
