Default Five boxes from one block of wood

    Hi all
These boxes came from one block of wood about 150ml in diameter. David challenged himself to see how many boxes he could scroll from one piece of timber. The record is five with the smallest being a mere 60ml in diameter. The first task was to make a pot pouri box which featured an acrylic centre. He then made another smaller one with a wooden centre. That left just enough wood to scroll the three little boxes from the left over wood.

Needless to say David comes from the generation which believed in 'waste not want not'.
It always annoyed him when he saw the left over blocks from his first scroll sawing box making.

    Hi Olbassy

Currently I am doing the finishing on another car and a vintage fire engine, both ultimately destined for Ebay. I'm dragging the chain a little at the moment, but will post photos when finished.

    Cheers
    Lili
