Carbatec - Excalibur/General Scrollsaws
Hi Guys,
So have been waiting 5 - 6 months for Carbatec to get the General scroll saws back in stock. Upon inquiring numerous times over the months on an ETA, i finally got an email back telling me they would be back in stock by late October. I happened to be looking at Carbatec website this weekend, and saw that they have updated the images and product descriptions for these scroll saws.
https://www.carbatec.com.au/machiner...ode-ctex-16cec
https://www.carbatec.com.au/machiner...ode-ctex-21cec
https://www.carbatec.com.au/machiner...ode-ctex-30cec
Does anyone have any info regarding this change? Will the new products just be a re-badged Excalibur/General scrollsaw under the Carbatec brand?

Looks the same as my saw which is the General & has the same specifications etc. I would say it was the same saw but has been rebadged with the carbatec brand. Just my 2 bob's worth. cheers Peter

Yes, it looks very similar as my General also. Only minor difference to mine I can see is the table blade aperture. The specs are the same. Agree with Peter, it's only been rebadged.

You will notice this change with a few of the machines Carbatec bring in over time will be recolored to this blue color.
Saw the dust extractors last week that claim to be upgraded but in reality still only 1200cfm
As others have indicated the latest update is now mid to late october but the posts have been shifted many times before.Jim Carroll

As an aside, I read on The Elite Scollers Facebook page that some of the machinery suppliers in the US are out of Excalibur stock and are also waiting on supplies !!!!
