Question Has Delta been taken over by Black & Decker?

I'm trying to find where I can get a Delta scroll saw and found through Amazon.com what looks to be a Delta in the Black and Orange with the B&D logo.

Does anyone know if this is the same as the Delta?

I went chasing some Delta parts for a mate a few months ago at Dewalt who I know had taken them over. Just a caution, don't expect to get parts for anything Delta in Australia as Dewalt won't bring them in.

Is it the same, I don't know.

Ok that sort of makes sense. I know DeWalt and Black & Decker are one company, so if DeWalt and Delta are also the same, then one can only assume Black & Decker and Delta are the same.

Lots of brands, only a few manufacturers

Sure looks the same...... kind of like the WMS , Truepro and Carbatec saw are the same just different paintjob.
Does anyone know why they won't send them to Australia anymore?

I've had offeres from people on the US forums to send needed Delta parts, so that wouldnt' be too big a problem.... but it is the reason I'd love to have a back up saw.... to bridge the long wait.

    I'll keep looking......hoping.........

Black and Decker own Delta, Dewalt, Elu and Porter-Cable and probably a few others and have some corporate arrangement with Hitachi.
