getting started
Hi everyone, I have just joined the forum, and have just started to scroll after buying an ozito 16 inch saw from bunnings, it was terrible to use, I found that the top and bottom clamps were miss aligned which I fixed ,that helped also I bought some olson blades form carrolls, but it just doesn't seem to cut right, I have found when lining up the blade from the side with an adjustable square that when the blade is in the up position its nearly 90" but as it comes down the top of the blade tilts forward, which I think wont help for a smooth cut and worse for sharp turns, does anyone know if that's the right action for the blade to travel in ,thanks ?

I've got a 16" Delta which sees little use. But, the blade travel appears to be vertical all the time.
The 'D' requires quite a bit of tension on the blade, then it hums right along.
Can you unplug the beast and manually cycle the blade motion while measuring from the side?

Thanks for your reply, that's what I did, I turned it by hand to measure the angle of the blade, ill have another look the blade mounts are adjustable left and right which I moved to line the blade up, there might be some forward back movement as well , I'll be away for a couple of days , once I've looked at it i'll let you know.

better results
Hi, for anyone interested, I have looked at my saw a bit closer and I found the two arms which hold the mounts for the blade were not parallel to each other causing the blade to be in an s shape , I filed these so they were parallel, also the nylon insert witch fits in the table was below the surface of the table , so I made a sheet metal shim to fix that, the saw now seems better to use . here are a couple of pics
