Just been using my small old Hegner cutting 1 1/4" Bubinga with a coarse blade. Fine, no jumping, no burning. I have bought many upper blade clamps over the years and now use the expensive round alloy Hegner QR, modified with a lever through one side. Very expensive but the best clamp so far.

Default My New Excalibour Scroll Saw EX- 21

    Hi All
I have brought my Excalibur EX-21 scroll saw and stand from Carbatec in Sydney I am happy with the saw I have it on a suppled stand and a heavy 25mm thick rubber mating like they stuff they use in parks.
I can run it at ¾ speed and stand a glass of water on the table with no ripple in the in the water at full speed there is a ripple I don’t know if this is good or bad but I can’t cut things out at full speed not because of the vibration it just my lack of scrolling inexperience. Thanks everyone for you valued input to things.

Hope you all had a safe and happy Christmas and have a happy new year.
    Colbra

    PS It wasn’t water
