Here's a couple of photos of two scroll saw cut wooden signs I recently made for two local clients, which I think you may find of interest.

First Sign,- Lettering is in Meranti, 35mm.High x 19mm. thick. Baseboard is standard Radiata Pine. Finish is Five coats of Wattyl Exterior Varnish. Port Vincent Client.

Second sign, ( Funny one !! ),- 12mm. Exterior ply baseboard. Lettering, and animal, ( Rat ), also cut from 12mm. exterior ply, x 35mm. high. Finish,- Lettering, & Rat,- Black enamel. Baseboard; Gloss White. Minlaton Client.

Have photos of other wooden signs I have recently made too,- but they will be in the Router section.

    Very nice work.
Are the letters just glued to the backing board?

    Default Wooden Scroll Saw signs

Thankyou all for your comments. There's several methods I use to attach the individual letters / artwork to the baseboard;- IF the lettering is large enough I screw, and glue it on, using the correct type of PVA for the situation in hand. otherwide I simply glue each letter / design onto the baseboard,- AND it does help heaps IF one can see straight too, plus get all the letters / numerals, pictures, etc., the correct way round,- ( Been there,- done that !!! )

*** Am in the process of designing another Custom Sign for a local client,- this one will be in, " Script," ( standard writing ) format, cut out in two complete words from 12mm. Structual plywood,x 80mm lettering, which will then be attached to the customer's house front fasciaboard for all to see and read.
While some would most probably, " throw their hands up in despair,"- this for me is,
" Good fun," ( not work in THAT sense ), as I thoroughly enjoy the design challenges of this type of Traditional Wooden Signage.
YES,- Am planning on taking some photos of this interesting House Sign as I set it up, then cut it out, etc., to put on this site, plus on my own Webpage
( Got a website set up for this type of work,- see the Members Business Section for more info )
