    Default Replacing the table?

My cheap scroll saw has a horrible table, namely the hole in the middle. The plastic insert doesn't fit flush so when I'm cutting smaller pieces it tends to get caught on the lip. Plus, the hole WAY too big for no reason I can think of.

Has anyone come across a clever way to "mod" a scrollsaw table?

    Thanks

G'day shaunno! I can't help you with any table mods, however, make and model of the saw may be of some help. My only thought is to have a metal insert made by a friendly metalworker/machinist using your old insert as a template and then mod it as required.

Stick a Perspex top to your existing table with double sided tape and drill a slightly larger hole than the blade for the blade to go through and there you go.
