    Default Scroll saw

Looking to buy a scroll saw but not pay much over $500.
Doesn't have to be new but it does need to have been looked after and woking? I'm in Melb.

Thought about the Carbatec Jet but not convinced they're any good. There prices jump with the next model SS-400c up, a Carbatec hybrid $999 again not sure of the value.

Any comments or insight would be great thanks?

    Cheers Kerry

Think I've solved my question. Just discovered the Proxxon which is far better value than the Carbatec 16'' at $999
The reviews check out well. Anyone own one and have a comment?

G'Day Kerry, I have a secondhand Hegner which even as an old machine runs like a top; cost me $400.
may I suggest you add a thread in the scroll sawing section of the forum to gain a wider more specific audience and thus more answers...
    Cheers, crowie

Would love a Hegner but they are so $$$$ and second hand ones go quick, very quick.

That is a good price, and cheaper than here in Singapore.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get it from?
