I've seen these blades at Bunnings. Can't recall exactly, but they may have even been GMC branded too!

You could probably also get pinned blades from the major woodworking outlets in Australia too... i.e. Carbatec, Timbecon, MIK etc etc.

do yourself a favour and get the Tmbercon adaptor for the sherwood 16 to take pinless blades and you have a better range and choice of sizes with intasia the finer the blade the better I find and a reverse is even better (less furr on the bottom)

    Default sherwood adapter

I actually got that sherwood adapter for my GMC scrollsaw from Timbecon. Whilst it did do the job, after a while of using the allen key to do the blade changes I found that it stripped the inside of the tightening bit thingo. It may just be that I got one with cheaper metal but it happened to both adapters.

I had better luck with the hegner adapter from The Woodworks in Sydney. It works just as well and has a square end tightening bit which you use a clock key to tighten it with. They are available online if you arent in Sydney

    Default Scroll Saw Blade Clamps

I have a older Ryobi SS which did not come with a Pin-less blade adapter and had been looking to get one sometime.

This morning, I happened to drop into Bunnings at Mt. Gravatt (old Hardware House store) and had a chat with Fotis in the toy shop. He is quite knowledgable and I mentioned about the adapters. He found out Ryobi have them for about $8 a set and then he brought out a set of GMC special order ones for $9. We compared them with ones of a Ryobi on the shelf and they were identical. Fotis said that Ryobi was a mess at the moment (taken over 1 year ago) and he did not know how long it would take to get them in and said I could have the GMC set as he ordered extra.

So, summing up, anyone need adapters. Go to Bunnies (or whereever) and order in a set or two or six for only $9 a set from GMC. Bit cheaper than $30 for a set for the Hegner ones.

Oh, these require an allen key but seem to be good steel grub screws unlike the ones from Timbecon by the sounds.
