    Default New scroller -silly question

    Hi. I'm new to scrolls aw and have been practicing with some hardboard. Question is. What timbers work best and what should I be considering
    i have some 1/4 inch pg rosewood, any good fir scrolls aw?

    I have used Rosewood and I loved it. You can use lots of different types of wood including ply, I usually use marine ply for portraits. I guess it depends on what you are patterns you are cuttin and if you can easily get different woods.
