Hi,
If you have a picture try sending a copy asking for a pattern for it to one of the scroll saw magazine forums e.g.
Scroll Saw Woodworking & Crafts Message Board
Good luck.

For a non scroller, what is the process to convert a photo into something that can be used as a sroll pattern.
Looks like some sort of filter in Photoshop or similar, but just a guess. If you find you have dug yourself a hole, the first thing to do is stop digging.

G'day, i use adobe photoshop deluxe. It's quite involved really. I convert the photo into a negative and then paint it in. There's probably an easy way but i haven't found it yet
Takes me a couple of hours till i'm happy with the result. Photos taken in natural light with lots of shadow give the best results.

Thanks for this one Kev H. There are plenty of Slim Dusty fans about the place.

No problems, glad you like it. Wouldn't mind seeing what others have come up with though.
