Tuning blade on scrollsaw
As previously posted I took delivery of my Carba-Tec 18". After setting up and attaching to my table (75 mm raised back to front) I checked the blade and saw top for square. This is where I had a problem the left to right was easy and I did some test cuts on various thicknesses. I noticed after doing a small 'U' shaped cut out on 45mm pine the top section was narrower than the bottom. Checking the saw blade again I found that the front to back alignment was out by over 1 mm. I can not see anyway of adjusting it.
I would appreciate any feedback.
Cheers

I too have had this problem but found that the problem was pushing the wood through too fast & putting too much pressure on the blade & if you are using 45 mm timber that would be a fair load on the blade,I have never used timber that big on my saw,all I can suggest is that you check the blade tension & the blade size & maybe reduce the size of your timber

You will find that a Hegna quick release top clamp is very necessary. It will set you back about $50 plus postage and they are available from Wood Works or Carolls. The clamp might get you passed the problem.
I have had a Tru Pro saw which is the same as yours with a different color scheme for well over 10 years. Worked it very hard and have had very little trouble with it.
