Slightly off topic.

Why do you want to put a cutting board in a dishwasher anyway? What's wrong with cleaning it soap and wipe it dry with a tea towel? Timber kills bacteria, so sometimes I don't even use soap.

Everything goes in the dishwasher, or it doesn't get to stay in my kitchen.

The diswasher gets everything sterile and perfectly grease free, but it also saves me time and effort.

I have to look after 2 houses and my partner single handed. I don't have time to wash dishes. Ask anyone with a disabled partner or a single parent raising several little darlings alone.

YMMV.

We put several wodden items in the dishwasher spoons and such..and they survive just fine.

A good quality marine epoxy should do the job, and as long as a good durable wood is selected it will survive repeated dishwasher rides just fine

Just dontb expect radiata pine to do all that well.

cheers
