Watson, don't you have a beer fridge in the shed? Might be time to get one if you don't already. Then you can be sure next time you get "stuck" into the stew, you will still have glue to do your woodwork.

Most dogs'll kill for a good feed of hide glue. Had a bully once who ate a few kg of the stuff without any problems..... Well it did take a few weeks before she could get her eyes uncrossed and running over a dog-log with the Victa took on a whole new meaning....... Innncomeinnnng duck 'n' cover!

Low and deep bow, thank you my dear Watson and on such a great topic. Truly though hope the glue doesn't cause you any grief or discomfort, should only do that if you tell the Mrs I should think.

Mum used to make us porridge for breaky, she said it was good because "it sticks your ribs together". Until this day I never really got why that would be so..
I used to stretch canvases for painting and used rabbit skin glue to apply to them, of course this was done using a double boiler on the kitchen stove much to mum's dislike because of the smell, after one too many times, the pot was lifted off the stove and placed outside to get rid of the smell, our dog loved Rabbit skin glue porridge and it didn't seem to have any ill effect.
Not that I'm likening your digestive system to a dogs or nothing Watson.
