Looking at the manual, the button beside the switch is a lock off button ie. It needs to be pressed in so the on/off trigger switch can be depressed. I presume it's there to prevent you accidentally switching the router on. There doesn't appear to be any way of locking the switch on.

I will ring Ozito because this is how my switch works:

    1. Press and hold the red button in and pull the trigger to start.
    2. Release the red button whilst holding the trigger.
    3. Release the trigger and the red button pops out.
    4. Acts like a deadmans switch and so won't work with the table power on and off without tape or a cable tie.

If you need to do multiple cuts to get the depth you are after you will just keep increasing the height of the bit until you bottom out on the preset height on the turrent. Not the easiest way to achieve it, but it's what you have got and probably the way it has been done for many years.
    I'll give that go.

Just spoke to Ozito regarding the switch and their official response is to use tape or a cable tie to hold the button down.

I am thinking maybe to use the router as a standalone and buy another for the table.

I need also to be able to raise and lower it easily.

Any suggestions - keeping in mind budget is king.

    Thanks
    Chris
