Carb-i-tool direct?
Has anyone purchased from Carb-i-tool directly lately?
Or do I have to buy via a distributor?
They are closed now so I can't call them.
My local Total Tools is a distributor and they are very helpful but they will have to order in some of the bits I want and it is 3 times the price compared to the price list on Carbitool's price list for dealers.
I appreciate that a retailer has significant costs and I'm prepared to pay for the convenience of having them be just down the road. But for me it is just a hobby so it's not like I can throw money at it.
I guess by the time Carbitool charge me a non-distributor price, plus postage, it might not be all that different. But it does make me wonder.

Hold the phone!!!!
Hold the phone!!!!
I just rechecked my product codes and checked the prices against Total Tools web site.
It's the same price, rounded to the nearest dollar. I must have either mixed up the product codes the first time or happened to pick one bit which as increased in price, since Dec 2015.
It's all good now....
I'm off to support my local store and order through Total Tools. Probably actually save me money if anything. Yay!

Yes that would be cool.
The next suburb to ours is a light industrial area and so there are a lot of handy things close to us as well. (but not Carbitool!)

I also use local Total Tools. Not Much difference in price compared to eBay sellers so happy to support local business.

Yes. They special ordered the bits without a delivery charge so it will save me money if I get them in a few days. If it takes a few weeks then it will have been a bad idea.
While I was in there I saw they have some Kreg gear. When I can afford it I'll have to go back and acquire an item.
They have a lot of stuff in there.
The guys there are very helpful. So are Trade Tools but it seems Total Tools have more things of interest to a woodworker.
