I've just purchased the fixed base for the Bosch (blue) GOF 1600 router, that is sadly not available in half the world, from Amazon in the US
for the amazing price of 73 USD + 21 USD (!!!) shipping . So the whole shebang is going to cost me ~$NZ 130 delivered to my letterbox.

You really cannot complain about that price, particularly the shipping. A couple of years ago people in the UK were spending 2-3 times as much to
get one sent out from the US.

The American model numbers don't match the GOF/GMF model names, the fixed base (without motor) is called MRF01

I just thought I'd post that here in case someone else would like one: this seems a good time to get your hot little hands on it.

Ironically even the GOF1600 is only sporadically available in NZ - but I saw one at Carter Holt a few days ago. I had better go and grab it.
My normal supplier list it as out of stock (at Bosch).
