Thank-you echidna. I was going to put my bamix cake mixing blade in the collet until you saved me from that error.

If you've got the two spanners to change bits with and a small screwdriver to adjust the depth stop that's all you really need. If need be you can purchase reducing collets for 8mm or 1/4 bits and a micro height adjustment thing that helps if used in a table.

I bought a TR12 new, quite a few years back. Came with two spanners, a collet for 1/4" bits, and a fence assembly that could be fitted with a straight fence or a roller guide. No screwdrivers or allen keys or anything else. Oh and a manual which had the usual safety warnings in it. That's all you need, if you need more information on its use you'll be better off finding a routing book at your local library.

I can probably fish out a manual for your electric router if you still want one.

Template guide
They came with a template guide, which fits the TR8 as well.

Do yourself an enormous favour - go to SupaCheap and buy yourself the 2 spanners. They will be longer, easier to use than the 2 originals and you don't end up with skinned knuckles or large grooves in your hands where the originals have dug in. As they are opposed when loosening - when they come together it does hurt.
You've got a brilliant machine by the way.
