    Default horizontal router table

    Im not shure if its been mentioned here before but i just saw a video on a horizontal router table.I dont know how to post the link but if you go to youtube and type in in it will come up.

    Just simply right click and copy the link from the YouTube address bar as shown in thumbnail below and then right click and paste it into your post.

    There is another video available via Fine Woodorking of a unit using drawer slides to give an XY table for morticing etc. Uses stops to set travel in both axis to size length and depth of the mortice. Then a week or so ago someone had an adaption of that with a timber joystick and likages to give single handed manipulation of both axis.

    FW video should work without needing to sign in. Can't find the second one at present, but I think it was an update to the FW discussion linked here.

    And I purchased the plans and made it. It works just like the video, I am very happy with mine. I did post some picks sometime back as I a wip. You can find it as one of my albums if you visit my profile.

    Any idea how long it took you to make the Woodgears horizontal mortiser? Difficult?

    Did not make the wood gears as I decided I did not need them, but I did attach some rulers on the side for measuring. I did make the crank handle to move the router up and down and a good locking knob.
