Hi there,
just to let everyone know i have found a website with a man who has a video making a motorized router lift. Meaning that with the press of a foot pedal the router lifts in to your work.
This is the site

By the way, John is a member of this forum.

He started looking for a motor at Jan 2006...

Here is the beginning
DC motor selection

And, a few pictures of the lift...

Yep, I am a member here and still troll around. The router lift has come a long way since I first posted for advice here. I had a lot of good help and ideas from this forum.

If all goes well, there should be a retail version of the motorized router lift in the near future (I'm sorry, but I can't disclose the details of the product yet).

If anyone needs advice or guidiance on building your own lift, please feel free to contact me through this forum or at my site (EagleLakeWoodworking.com)

It seems the commercial motorised router lift is now a reality.
No prices or availability as yet but a video of the prototype is available at John's website.

Checked out the video - what an amazing gadget !!!

If he can get the correct price point, this one should be a winner.
