Anyone in Perth have a 16mm round over router bit I could use for an hour or so?
I'm making a new TS blade guard and dust extraction hood and would like to round over the entry edge to the circumference of a 100 mm diameter dust extraction port.
The ideal rounding radius for such a port is 25mm but I don't have enough space in the hood for that so the biggest bit I can use is a 16 mm rounding radius.
As usual I have a 12.5mm rounding radius router bit but am loath to spend $70 on a 16mm radius router bit for just one cut.
The material is 20 mm thick acrylic so it won't take any edge of the cutter.
Can offer some interesting pieces (e.g. olive, sheoak) of timber as exchange.

I'm too far away to be of any help but have a suggestion if you end up unable to find the 16mm.
I found out a long time ago that a cabinet scraper works well on plastics. You can remove the bulk with the 12.5mm and from there use the scraper to increase the radius.

Might pay to cast about for 5/8th inch unit as well.
I used to be an engineer, I'm not an engineer any more, but on the really good days I can remember when I was.

Hi Bob, if you are still looking, have you thought about Masters. Last time I was there, they had plenty of router bits and the price should be pretty good. They may have another price drop soon and probably a couple of extra 10 % off days.

Thanks Guys I ended up buying a cheapie from Timbecon for $30.
I used it to round over a 100 mm duct opening in some perspex for my new saw guard.
I'll need to use it a few times as I will also be making Bell mouth hoods for some saw guards at the mens shed with it.
Come to think of it I could probably get them to pay for it.
