Default Two Piece Porter Cable Style Metric Template Guide Bushes

    Hi

Does anyone know where I can buy Two Piece Porter Cable Style Metric Template Guide Bushes?

They are to be used with a Triton TRA001 Router fitted with a TGA001 Template Guide Kit.

    Thank you

My comments on the Porter cable are they do not produce any large diameter guides and I doubt if you will get a metric set anyway. If you have the Triton base plate then you will find that the Hitachi guides will fit the Triton set up.

    Hi Tom

Thank you for the info. I will take a look at the Hitachi guide bushes.

I think I have found another possibility.

The overall diameter of the Triton Guide Bush plate is 60mm.

The overall diameter of the Trend Guide Bush plate is 60mm.

In theory Trend Guide Bushes should fit in the Triton TGA005 Guide Plate, that is part of The Triton TGA001 Template Guide Kit.

This would allow the use of Trend Metric Guide Bushes along with the full range of Trend Imperial Guide Bushes.

You would not need the Trend GB/5/Q Sub base.

I realise that there would only be about 3mm projection but this is all Trend use with their Dovetail Jig.

There is a Trend 40mm outside diameter bush (Ref. GB/40) available.

    Bye for now.

Obviously Trend would be a better buy and I do believe they have a greater selection to choose from.
The use of the template guides will bring greater use of the router. I have three routers set up in the router table but I can achieve more with the use of the guides

Further to Chop 'n' Join's suggestion, the Trend guides do work with both Triton router metal base plates.

I've tried a variety of combinations and there are pictures here for those interested. For completeness, the Leigh VGS is also shown with the MOF001 baseplate.
