Default Router Advice: Table mounted and adjustable from above

    Hi All

So i am both brand new to this forum and furniture making. I have just bought a Triton router table was hoping for some advice on a good router to buy for this table.

Main thing i am looking for is to able to adjust from above.

I am hoping there is a router out there..around the $200-$250 mark that will do the job...if not i may need to bite the buillet and shell out more.

    Any advice?

    Thanks

    Marty

I have a Triton Router table, which has done me very well since 2006, and still is great. I bought a https://au.search.yahoo.com/search?e...urne+australia at the same time. Only problem I've had was brushes, once!

It adjusts from above and is not overly strenuous to adjust.

    I think it's great!

    Regards, Rob

The Triton router table is specially adapted to take a Triton router. Although it does of course take others.

I have managed to get a 2400W Triton router second hand.Pick it up on the weekend. Looks like i may have also scored a biscuit joiner with it

Does it have the above the table height winder? Early models didn't. Also, does your router plate have the sub-plate for fitting a Triton router via the two knobs on the router's edge?

No unfortunately it doesn't have the winder as it's a 2005 model... but it came with a table and that table does have the sub plate.
