Thanks for the reply, what about the speed? Is that an issue since it is not a variable speed?

That's a big bit for someone who is "new to all of this"" to start with.
My first suggestion is get some guidance from a local familiar with routing.
That bit must only be used in a table, never handheld. Your router needs to be set at minimum speed. Is that a variable speed router? If not, forget it.

Thanks for the reply, I have took some woodworking classes but recently purchased my own router. It is NOT variable speed so should I scrap the idea of raised panel doors or can I get a smaller bit and if so can you recommend a good source? Would you recommend a 2 inch diameter bit?

You can use vertical raised panel bits at 24000 rpm.
You need to make a high fence to support the work.

Fixed base routers are not suitable for these bits.
Firstly they should only be used in a routertable, not handhelds and, secondly, a fixed base cannot be adjusted as is required for rail and stile routering.
It is not the speed at the spindle you have to worry about, it is the speed at the extreme of the bit.

Thanks that's a good idea. I think I found a solution, I did some research and found a "junior" 3 piece raised panel set, they are smaller and should work just fine for what I am doing.
