    Default Which router table

    Hi All,

I currently have an old Triton Router Table with a Makita 3601B. I am starting to do a bit more router work and have become disenchanted with this set up. Changing bits is a drama and accuracy is questionable due to router movement in the table. I would like to buy a new table as the Makita still goes well but I'm told that to overcome the bit change issues I would need to buy a new Triton Router or get a table with a lift. Any opinions re suitable tables available in Australia. I'm wondering about Kreg.
    Regards,
    Elleff

    Default Router table

I did away with my router table and now just use a spindle moulder - and it takes 1/2 inch and 1/4 inch router bits - as well as spindle moulder cutters - works for me. I then tweeked it up with a power feeder - so I don't lose my fingers. Cast iron table - no movement there.

I have a spindle moulder but doubt that the drive shaft will wind low enough to accept a chuck for 3/8" or 1/2" bits. I'm also thinking routers are a better way to go for smaller profiles
