Default Router table on its way

Here is an update as to how the table is progressing.

I am nearly ready to make the fence, thinking of using threaded rod for adjustment or maybe just slots and tnuts.

    Thanks for the advice
    Cheers Tony

the cabinet you have made so far is a good start, its different for each person I believe. the first fence I built for the router table was simple two clamps at each end, then I had a brain wave and used threaded rod and dial gauge to make adjustments, I'm now back to the two clamps system, K,I,S,S system

Thanks for the reply a d to the person who liked the post. I have decided to keep it simple by dado ing a runner either side of the fence to guide it, a slot at the front for a mitre guage/jig with hold Downs.

The top is form ply also. The fence is on its way and about 130mm high for raised vertical door bits a day made from an off cut from a solid core door that is laminated.

I am awaiting the Kreg router plate insert from the USA. I did enquire about purchasing one from Carbatec, but they do not stock the predrilled one for the Triton router, additionally it worked out ok as the levelling feet for the plate were 6 dollars as opposed to 30 odd dollars locally.

Any ideas on improvements or jigs would be appreciated as I have a week of holidays left to keep myself busy.
