Bought quite a few bits from them and have found them to be really good value. They certainly work for me.
What I really like about SawsandBits.com though is the fantastic customer service. When I ordered my bits (about 13), I received one which was not as ordered. When I notified them, they said "Keep it and we'll send you the correct one free of charge". Sure enough, a few days later, the correct bit turned up in the mail FREE. How good is that!
I'll be using them again for sure. You have to support that sort of effort.
Cheers

Gotta agree with the customer service... put my order in last night, transferred the money into their account and had an email saying the bits would be in the mail today about 10 minutes later... have that site bookmarked and will be a regular visitor now.
It's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.

I have placed an order for some bits also. Now waiting for the payment to go through. Anyone looked at the dado set? Also, what would be the best choice of bit for fingerjointing box corners? Can you do it with the single flute or is it better with a two-flute plunge bit?

My bits arrived today... this company is great to deal with so might have a pretty good stock of router bits in the coming weeks
Ok then... I have had a look at my gear (too late for a play now). I got the 45 degree Chamfer Stack Panel set and looking at it really don't see how it cuts the joint? The side doesn't have a pic of the profile it cuts but says that it cuts both rail & rail end with out dissasembly. Any ideas before I play with it on the weekend?Last edited by corbs; 18th September 2008 at 08:21 PM. Reason: Adding on

Corbs,
I bought 8 bits this week including that one and it arrived today and aint got a scooby doo what to do with it.
Looked on web and through my router books, no mention of it - anyone else any joy.
Ordered another 7 bits today, cant fault them - no crappy plastic bag either - decent storage case.
must have nearly a thousand dollars of bits for $120 inc postage not bad service, better than some i have used.

Was it broken completely or just cracked? I had one cracked case on my first first order, plus a wrong bit and missing bearings for a rebate set. I didn't worry about the crack in the case as it was minor, but notified James about the wrong bit, offering to buy the incorrect bit and and bearings. Replacement bit and bearing kit arrrived FOC in two days. I placed a second order today and paid for it plus the extra bit I received.
They have cases for about a $1.00 if the case is totally stuffed and you are ordering more later.
