Stehle router bits from SawAndBits
Has anyone tried Stehle router bits? I have ordered a few from an online shop at $11 each to see what they are like. Very cheap, especially for a finger jointer and a slot cutter! Waiting for delivery so I haven't seen them yet.

Got my Stehle bits
Well, I got my router bits on Friday and they look pretty good to me. I haven't tried them yet, but they look well made, full carbide cutting edges and pretty sharp too! I think I got a bargain - about $400 worth of bits for $49.

Stehle router bits from SawAndBits
With the Sthele router bits, the only thing I would suggest, is that you do a test cut on a scrap piece of timber first ----- JUST in case the bearing decides to spit a bit of the grease out of it.
Have you guys check out the reviews yet?

Another satisfied customer ...
Ordered a selection of bits which arrived today. Nicely packed in a big box with ample packing material.
Each bit is in its own plastic display box, and are all very heavy with very substantial carbide tips.
Ran a couple in the router this evening - well balanced and very sharp. No fuzzy edges.John

Wal,
I bought 3 bits the other week, all for $11 each. They emailed me the day after ordering saying they received the order and that it was being processed. Delivery was only a couple of days later.
I've used 2 of the bits on a scrap piece of timber and they look good - not the best you can buy but very good value for money.
Buy a few and give them a run. For $11 I'd say you can't wrong.

Wal, you thread reminded me that I had purchased 5 bits a little while ago. I ordered on a Friday night and they were delivered the next Wednesday/Thursday. Just before tea, I wandered out to the den of Inequity and threw the three of the bits in the little Triton. Grabbed an offcut 19mm ply and free handed a "Pat's Bar" sign using the V Lettering Top Bearing then underlined it with the 25mm 60 Degree "V" Grooving Bit. I then planned the ply with the Draw Jointer & Surfacing Bit to clean it up. To say I was impressed is an understatement, I had no burning and the bits ate the ply up. I'll give them a spot of Ironbark to test them out fully, one day
