Bummer; sorry to hear that.

I sold my Makita (single speed) to pay for the big Triton, mainly for the variable speed. X fingers. At least the Triton was only $160.

Where did you manage to snare a $160 triton. They go for $400+. Mine cost $300 from bunnings 12 months ago and that was the runout price.

The trade marks, patents etc were sold to a swiss company, who are probably selling the Triton (re-badged) to CMT.

The spare parts stock and all patents, intellectual property has been bought by a Swiss company, Powerbox AG.
So they may be back into the market.

From other forums, the Trition TRC001 and the smaller Triton are back on the market in the US.

We may not see them back into Australia, which is a shame.
