Default Triton TWX7 Router Table Module problem

    Hello,

Has anyone had a problem with the Router mounting plate on the Router Table Module TWX7RT001
    .
The plate is only 1.7mm thick and moves which causes the router bit to move when cutting and causing chatter in the cuts.

I have made a really bad video showing the problem

Sorry to contradict you, but there's nothing bad about the video, other than being slightly repetitive, as it shows the problem accurately and completely. That's astonishingly poor design IMO.

Boy, am I glad I watched that video! I was going to buy one of these routers and table system. After seeing this I think I may as well go to "plan B" which is a Scheppach HF50, It cam't be any worse than this!

I watched a demonstration when first released saw similar issues and thought good concept poor execution. Spoke to the rep and was instantly dismissed (very politely)as someone who didn't know anything about woodworking.
    I'll stick with my festools.

It's interesting to note that Triton (White International) still list the old RTA300 table and RSA300 support in their catalogue. I had both of these before the fire and they worked fine with a TRA001. Why did they change something that worked well? I might just look around for that combination again rather than the Scheppach HF50.

What a POS! That is unfit for purpose and I'd be amazed if you couldn't get your money back simply by presenting your video to the company.

What would you know fubar, you only make a living out of woodwork.
