Default Whiteside 1/2" Shank Slot Cutter Arbor Missing Bearing Question?

Many moons ago I purchased a Whteside 1/2" Shank Slot Cutter Arbor plus some assorted cutters.

Today I unpacked them only to find that I am missing the ball bearing that sits between the cutter and the bottom of the thread.

So this maybe a stupid question however: Is there something special about the ball bearings used for router arbors or can I simple go to a ball bearing supplier and buy a suitable sized ball bearing to fit the arbor? I know that Whiteside sells replacement ball bearings but the postage would be stupid.

I cannot find the exact type of arbor that I have on the whiteside website, but it looks like this:

Any double sealed bearing will do. Take the arbor with you. It should use a standard size bearing. If you get a few different sizes (outer diameter) you can change them to change the depth of the slot.
It may pay to check that the bearing is rated for the top speed of your router but it shouldn't be a problem
Those were the droids I was looking for.

Carbitool do a selection of router arbor bearings if you have no luck locally.

RPM shouldn't be a problem as most small bearings of a good quality brand will handle 30 to 40 thousand.
