Woodman RT6 Router Lift - any experience? Good or not?
Hi all, just designing my own router table at the moment and down to choosing a router lift for it.
The Woodman RT6 price on MWE is $499.
http://www.majorwoodworking.com.au/w...er-lift-plate/
Not sure if it is any good - can't find any reviews on it.
Alternatively the Jessem from Greg Mach is $550.

I know Jessem have a great name - but is it that much better than the Woodman?
Keen to hear any thoughts on this or recommendations for other router lifts that are in a similar price range.
Cheers, JK

The RT-style tables are fantastic. The quality of the build is amazing. https://www.timbecon.com.au/routing/...mounting-plate
Ive a brand new one that I've not used for sale this arvo. I didn't get around to putting it in with the TRA001 and now my work is winding back (brain tumour) I'll be doing less and less.... So time to sell.
It might sound a bit too enthusiastic, but I spent a lot of time reviewing every option and settled on the right solution. It ended up being a TRA001, an extension (super balanced) and the Tmibecon insert.
The total price was less than half of the alternatives, plus one can still easily remove the router for hand work.

Be aware that the jessem won't take plunge routers. It only fits fixed based router motors, that are unavailable in Australia. There is one router motor available in Australia that will fit but I'm not sure if you can still get it..
The MWE looks like it will take a plunge router but the blurb just says " Fixing plate will suit most common router systems "Those were the droids I was looking for.

Thanks for the warning. I'm using an old fixed base Makita 3601B that I have been given by my father. Perfect for router table (only) use!
Cheers, JK
