Wouldnt that be lovely! A constant airflow, 22° aircon and fine filtration for the studio!!!!

Makes you realise just how much power we generate and use as a society though. An in-house 100kva is still not big enough to power a pump. Imagine that x50000 for a city... lots of juice!

Sure does but the 100 kVA did a bit more than run the 24000 CFM filtered air system, it also backed up the following.

~40,000 CFM of additional air recirculation (18 kW)
~6000 CFM fume hood extraction (4 kW)
2 , 3 x 3 x 2.4m walk in freezers held at -10º (don't remember the power this used), The freezers were normally run at -18º but under power failure were allow to come up to -10º. They were packed full of ice s had huge thermal inertia.
Ultra pure water purification system (~3kW)
Up to 10kW of lab hot plates and a few kW of acid distillation systems.

That's why the genset couldn't do the air con at the same time.

We have that just to the CNC, the main line is that 16" pipe in the pic and it's still not enough to run everything at once (the 15kw dust extractor could do with an upgrade as well).
