    Default Need bags and filter

    Hi guys,
At the risk of running what is going to seem to be a a blatant plug, thought I'd help you all out as we sell bags and filters for most vacuums.
Most of the commercial type machines, all have a similar fitting, it's just the size that varies.
We also sell a universal filter kit that has cut to size filter material.
Haven't really found a machine yet that we can't fit except for the rare Karcher's which only take genuine.
Have a look and if you have any questions, PM me or contact via the site.
Shop Vac - Vacuum cleaner bags. Buy vacuum bags for Kirby, Hoover, Miele, Bosch, Wertheim

Have set up a additional 5% discount, just enter "wood" as the coupon code when you check out.

Just beat me to it wheelinround

If the pic's anything to go by this year the motor housing is blue, not grey like last year.
My advice is to get in quick if you want one.

This all very good for the Eastern States. S.A. does not have Aldi and they do not look like coming here in the near future. But all is not lost, have called Son in Melb to see if he can get me one. Here is hoping he succeeds.

They went on sale today in Bowral. I'm happy to purchase one for people but postage would be out.
Have given it a go and am most impressed- noisy though.

As mentioned in the powertool thread I grabbed one for myself the other day. Last year I bought 3 for my work, which is commercial office fitout. The vacs are used daily, mainly to clean up plaster and MDF dust. Ones been lost/stolen, one died last month and the others lost a fair bit of suction power, I'm tipping our guys have never once cleaned or replaced the filters. 12 months from them is not bad going I reckon (mine should last awhile for me for home use), although I'm replacing our work fleet with Makita's (VC2010L & 446L) which are far superiour.

Had a look at the Aldi's instruction manual and warranty and it refers you to Einhell for after sales and warranty info.

The Einhell vac on their website looks the same except for the wheels and they also list spare parts for sale.

As for noise, compared to the Makita's, the Pullmans I used to have and our Miele at home. These things sound like a 474 taking off!

I had had one for a couple of years and have it set up permanently on my SCMS and yes, it screams.

I wonder if it can be quietened with a wooden or plywood box around it. I might try that. Because it is on wheels, it would not be so convenient to do that if the vac is to be moved but if in a stationary position, it would not matter. Also, as if the use is intermittent as it is on an an SCMS, overheating won't be a factor to be considered.

    Default Aldi vac

I have just noticed that what looks very much the same as the aldi shop vac is in the Harris Scarf catalogue for $99 from this Thursday. Probably find that this is really only applicable to Victoria.

They are in Aldi again today.
I tried rigging one up to the festool Domino and it fitted like a glove. Hooked the Domino into the power socket on the vac and there was not one woodshaving after doing 12+ dominoes. I used it without a vac before.
I'm sold if it only lasts a couple of years and then I can make it into a Dalek and scare little kids!

I picked up a pack of bags from 'vacbagsdirect' as posted at the top of page 5.
$18ish delivered, turned up within 3 days... excellent.

    The bags?
In a workshop/site enviroment, I'm tipping the thin paper bag will be ripped up on encountering a screw/nail or sharp wood chip.

    Talking Shop Vac Bags

I just discovered that the bags I purchased for my (now deceased) shop vac fit the Aldi vacuum cleaner nicely. Nice not to have to throw them out or buy new ones.
