Thanks again to everyone for their patience. So. Just need to go find some kit. Have also emailed clearvue oz but their website doesn't seem to have been touched with Jan closing dates still up and their facebook is down. Will see what they can land a system in NZ for. I'll do some more research on what is available here as well re the 150mm outlet size. Was thinking I could also situate it close to one of the doors and vent externally as well if that works- A long vent well away from the door to stop stuff being sucked back in. Cheers again. Stick with me Starting to come together in my head now.

I vent mine out through the roof via a china-mans hat style vent. If you have roof tiles this is very easy to do (vs trying to make a hole through brickwork etc. The added benefit is any fine dust gets immediately dispersed by any breeze and can be a long way from any doors etc.

Hi DomAU, I have just started to set up the Clearview in my new workshop and was thinking of venting through the flat garage roof. I am interested in what sort of exhaust noise you experience. Do you have a silencer somewhere in the exhaust line?
Thanks

Welcome to the forum Gedc.
I second what Muchacho has said above, I have seen his home built cyclone in action and its quite impressive, I believe for a home workshop, Clearvue maybe your answer, you may have to sound attenuate it. Get in touch with Muchacho and see it in person if you can.
I started with occuping just one corner of the triple garage we have, then due to increase in business I occupied the single garage, then due to getting bigger machine I took on the double garage, now the entire triple garage is mine and it is sealed from the house. you may want to do this in future if you can, this stops all the fine dust going into the house.
If you are in this for long then you might want to consider stainless steel ducting, regardless of the machine you have, without proper ducting all the numbers and calcs means nothing, there are few crowd in AKL who does the ducting, Donaldson Torrit is more industrial and machinery focused, NZDuct or Airtight NZ both in Penrose whom I have dealt with previously, both similar but you cant use Airtight ducting on NZDuct or vice versa, altho both Danish ducting but its like you cant fit a Toyota part on a Honda (most of stuff are made in Malaysia, some made in Denmark, for customised fitting it will be made in NZ).
Here are some pics I have uploaded previously. the layout has changed but more or less stayed the same.
Good thing about these Danish quick release ducting is that you can modify it to whichever way you like.
