Default Annoying little sod he is..............

I added the post below but got no response

As posted elsewhere had a win (well I thought so in Adelaide this week) had been thinking around this dust collection and what I could afford, the limited power available etc etc and had settled on a Leda DC1500T then bingo just before buying brand new, up popped a S/H on gumtree less than half price...so grabbed it.

now the 2x4" ports are already off getting ready to make a 6". If I replace top bag with pleated filter will it it make a worthwhile difference, what if I coonect it to a cyclone somehow will that also help. Yes I'll be changing over to 6"" outlets on all power tools where possible. My 'dreams do come true' thread has been attacked by SHMBO (sometimes) and I now have supposedly 4m x 7+meters. I hope to run drill press, RAS, thickneser, jointer down one length and my 9 year old unopened table saw TSC10-HB in the middle.Q regarding table saw, I think this is a cabinet ...if so can I change the frame so free standing and ease/improve dust collection underneath....

    then more queries.....
portable power tools orbital sanders.... whats the go with their dust removal.

Vacuum cleaner style and, if you're using a sander, you MUST have a bag or the filter will pack up with dust and you'll lose a lot of air flow.

    Tonto,
Like you I managed to snag a secondhand 2HP dusty. I got a pleated filter soon afterwards and it is a great improvement. The cloud of dust that the bag blew off soon convinced me. The machine has a bit more suck too due to better air flow.
    Regards

That's what I have connected to an old Nilfisk Vacuum and use it on my ROS and Router. Does not pick up everything from the router but does a good job on the ROS - virtually no dust gets through to the vacuum cleaner. I set it up on a discarded basket trolley so I can move it round - a bit ugly to look at but practical.
