Default Beyond Tools - Flexible Anti Static Duct Duct

Has anybody had any experience with the Beyond Tool ducting? It is half the price of most other outlets with reasonable shipping. Are these any good?

That soft PU hose is sold by a variety of outlets for about the same price but I agree shipping often gets you but given you are in Melbourne you should be able to pick up?
You can get it cheaper if you buy 10m and I think Lappa has identified a cheaper by the metre place around Melbourne.

Being highly flexible it has the advantage that is can be bent through a tight radius (not recommended) and stretched over some ducting (not all flexy can) remember 150 mm Stormwater and DWV PVC ducting is 160mm OD so most 150mm flex cannot fit over this. In most cases what you need is 160mm ID flexy - I'm pretty sure Lappa's is 160mm

I don't advocate fitting flexy over on inside any ducting but to use a threaded coupler connection. Yes it takes longer to set up but once done is a clamp-less easy fit and refit.

The BBQ stopper for me is of all the 4 types of flexy I have tested that the PU type has the greatest resistance, most likely because it's too floppy and vibrates with increasing air flow causing extra turbulence. The PU hose is about twice as restrictive as he stiffer Timbecon hose I tested - not sure if it's the same stuff they still sell.
