    Thanks for the sketch, Chris. As you know, my filters are vertical and sit on top a clean-out box. I think I'll have to enclose the filter stack with a rockwool lined cabinet and see how that goes. Right now I get 98dB 3 feet from the stack. Ouch!

    The rockwool on any sound reducing enclosure would need to be supported by some serious mass in/on the cabinet. What thickness of timber for the cabinet walls are you thinking?
