Cyclone upgrade
Good morning gents and ladies
Just a quick question for all of you with more knowledge than myself.
I am looking to put integrate a cheap cyclone with my little 1hp GMC under bench single bag dust extractor, any suggestions how and if it will work as I’m sick of the fine dust going through the bag. Any thoughts and input greatly appreciated👍.

It may look like it captures a lot of sawdust but a cyclone won't capture the very finest dust (which you cannot see and harms you the most) so it will continue to go through the bag.
In addition those 1HP units just don't have enough grunt so are not suited to having a cyclone attached to them because the cyclone itself reduces the amount of air and hence dust collected. This means even more dust will be left behind in your shed.
One of the most significant things in terms of health is leaving ANY dust collector inside a shed. It either needs to be outside a shed or inside an air tight enclosure inside a shed with the enclosure vented outside the shed. This means using some ducting and the 1HP units don't have enough grunt to suck dust through very long distances.
Perhaps some indication on what machines the 1HP is being used for and how often it is used may help determine a better solution for you.

I recently sold 2 GMC 1hp dustys after recommendations from here, the new buyer contacts and says " those things you sold me a crappy, I was hoping for better". just laughed and walked away.
I would love to grow my own food, but I can not find bacon seeds
