Cool Chris. I will keep going on your thread then.

Clearvue did have gates, but I was concerned with the plastic gates binding like I have read on a few posts and I don't know how well they would cope with the air ram forcing them open and closed over the years.
I am looking for long term reliability rather than saving every penny at the moment so I have ordered some self cleaning ones from the US - Cast Aluminum Self-Cleaning Blast Gates

Price per unit was about the same as here but shipping was a bit of a punch in the arm as you can imagine. Used https://shopmate.auspost.com.au/ as a US mail redirection so could be a few weeks before they get over here on the boat.

That should give me some time to let the magic smoke out of a few Arduino boards while I am testing out my code.

Here's an early revision of the control board I am working on.

Will be waiting for the Chinese new year to be over and then the board manufacturer to get through their backlog before I can get one in my hands to test.

I have not experienced the CV gates binding as they are self cleaning and I reckon I supplied hundreds of them with no reports of binding issues. Certainly Corrimal Men's Shed have had no issues and those gates are worked extensively every day. I am not saying it does not happen but it is news to me. I just checked and it was December/January 12/13 so three years of working five days a week. My biggest issue with CV BG's was they would not supply them in four inch which I pestered them to do the whole time I was the distributor.

Cheers for the heads up Chris. I must have misread/misinterpreted the posts I was reading. Will have to see if I can find the thread again.
More I think about it, it may have been the standard plastic gates I was reading about, not the CV gates in particular.
I am a tempted to get one of the CV gates in now just to test it out with the air cylinder.

CMS has no problems operating the gates with air cylinders so I doubt you will have any issues. They operate the gates under duress for want of a better word as the cyclone is never turned off and the upstream side of the gate is loaded so to speak at all times.
