Dust collection improvements
These are my recent efforts in the new workshop. I apologise for the dreaded sideway photo's, there does not seem to be any rotation function.
The first photo shows the 6" inch pipe for the drill press just waiting for a bell mouth fitting to complete. It's amazing how it leaves the press table and surrounds absolutely clean. The second and third photo's show the dust collection improvement(I hope) on the Carbatec 12" disc sander. This is an MDF box below the table and has a 4" inch pipe but unfortunately I had to reduce it to 90mm to get it under the sanding table, However, it seems to be a big improvement on the original dust collection.

Would it be possible to put the disc sander on a block so there is more room under it for the piping or would that lift it too high for comfort?

Good idea, Pete but the cast mounting feet come forward underneath the sanding table which restricts the height underneath the table.
