    Well Bob!

I have invested time and money into your advice. Today I built a platform for a shed outside of my workshop for my dust collection system. I have extended the cable on my remote switch so it can be mounted up high within the shed. Ill log some pictures this coming weekend when I have some more time. I am hoping to have the shed up with collector in by tomorrow night! Wish me luck.

    Looks good.

I assume that the lack of noise insulation means that noise is not a problem to you or the neighbours ?

One other question, how does the air get out?
Relying on gaps etc will add restriction to flow.
There should be a clear/unobstructed opening (the bigger the better.
Od course the bigger it is the better.
A minimum would be something like twice the cross sectional area of a 6" duct.
Mine uses 4x the cross sectional area of a 6" duct.

Thanks Bob, I rekon I could leave the door off! It is a sliding door so I can open it ajar when in use..

Did you see my Potplant reducer!! Thanks for the tip. I hope to get a more permanent connector when I set up the pipes but at this point the potplant will do fine!

That's fine if noise is not an issue.
