    Default Filters Vs. Bags

Thinking ahead... I am about to build an enclosure for my Hares and Forbes DC-7 and was wondering if there is any real gain to be had by replacing the standard bag with filters, and if there is, where are people getting them from?

I figure now is the time to design it to suit the filters, if I wind up using them.

    Pleated filters
0- can take up less room
    - take a bit longer to clog up than bags.
    - Can be cleaned in situ with the collection bags on so there is less mess
    - Offer lower resistance to air flow so have a reduced back pressure and increased (~10%) flow.

If (or rather "when" as they all eventually do) they develop a leak they can be harder to fix than bags but if they are in an enclosure that doesn't matter all that much

    Carbatech and H&F have them.

They both seem to need hours of conditioning to reach ay sort of efficient filtration but that is not a problem if they are vented outside the shed.
