Default Help with down draft table

    Hi all,

i get a lot of dust from sanding (like everyone) and am considering building a down draft sanding table. For the dust extractor, I have come across a cheap shop vac as pictured. I need help on how I should set up this vac as you will see the motor sucks from inside the drum and blows out around the black casing and handle. Any ideas how to bag or filter this? Or should I set up some other kind of separator? Thank you

Shop vacs are are a poor choice of extractors to use on a down draft table. To work properly a down draft table needs to be connected to high volume low speed extraction.
Ideally you will need about 10x more air flow than a shop vac.
