Default Housing of Dust Collector (DC) external to workshop

    Hi Everyone,
I am looking for ideas on how others have set up their dust collection systems, especially external or in a separate enclosure to the workshop.
If you have photos to include, please do!
Your experiences in doing this and pros and cons.

    Regards
    Stephen

Most members that have built a DC enclosure will be unlikely to repost pics of their enclosure. Suggest you do a dust forum specific google image search include the “DC enclosure” search term will pick upmost of them.

    Hi Bob,
I did do a couple of searches (from the top of the page) that did not come back with anything!!, so that is why i posted this. I have now gone back in with advanced search and have found some threads but there are no photos on the older posts. The search engine is obviously very poor. Scrolling through thousands of posts/threads is not really feasible.
Please if any one has some photos, that would be great.

    Regards
    Stephen

Bob posted 'Google' image search. Yep, the forum search function is less than brilliant.

Most photos pre-2012 were wiped from the forum following a forum downgrade er . . . . upgrade, so any posts before that year are unlikely to have photos.

    Here are some I found
    John's Dusty Enclosure...WIP
    Dust collector enclosure
    enclosure sound baffles...
    muffler location in dusty enclosure
    Dust Collection Install - WIP
    Mens Shed Dust Collection

Mine was pre 2012 effort but I have been able to go back in repost some images
Its part of my Shed thread but only the DC images have been put back I might look to put the rest back some day.
    BobL's shed fit.
Here is another thread specifically on my DC install but it has a bit in there about the enclosure.

Mines inside my workshop (double garage). I built a stud frame and put sound insulation inside it and clad it with ply inside and out.
Takes up a bit too much space for my liking but sound isn’t a problem- you can quite easily have a conversation while it’s on.
