Thanks Chris. I'll read it again when I get on the desktop and see how if it will work in a system that doesn't exhaust outside. First snow in a couple days.

Good luck with the snow, I am about to take the winter cover off the pool.

I got 6 meter lengths of each size and have it in an "S" shape and venting outside on the to roof with a simple chinamans hat.
I'm just in the process now of wrapping the whole lot again with a layer of rockwool insulation then I am going to wrap this with plastic so the insulation isn't exposed, I think after that it will be really quiet.
I have a DB meter somewhere I will dig it out and measure the reading.

I have been running mine up until 3am last few nights with no problems regarding noise.
I just sounds like someones AC or evap cooler is running, one thing I am not sure of is if the noise of the timber going through machines actually travels through the exhaust and outside I'd say not as I know I would have had someone call the Po Po on me complaining I am making noise....

Great. My experience is the same. Thanks. Seems like the hvac, tape, chinamans hat is a good low noise setup.

so after wrapping my ducting further with insulation and tape today I get a reading of between 68db and 69db from a distance of about 2.5 meters running at 60hz.
All in All I'm pretty happy with the noise level i'm getting!
