    Default Pipeonline

I have no affiliation to this Perth business but wow have they gone up my esteemed ladder.

A few weeks ago I ordered from them and was going to get delivered to home... Pt Lincoln (Tuna capital) but the freight was going to kill it, they then contacted the supplier (Iplex) and had it delivered to my door for the price of local Adelaide delivery 6 cartons.

I needed a few more pieces today, and this time I knew freight was the problem, but Pipeonline have arranged for me to collect from Iplex in Adelaide north...Elizabeth.

The sales guy, I think sales manager mentioned that if anyone in capital cities or where Iplex have depots they could arrange the same.

NOW it will pay you to do some homework, and there may not be much of a saving from main plumbing suppliers, but if you need a number of pieces, check prices and if so order through Pipeonline asking for local depot pickup.

A bit of Google-fu led me to their contact details.

To save others looking this up, Iplex list their manufacturing and distribution locations as:

NSW: Sydney (Chipping Norton) and Albury (Thurgoona)
QLD: Brisbane (Brendale), Toowoomba and Townsville (Bohle)
    NT: Darwin (Winnellie)
    SA: Adelaide (Elizabeth)
    TAS: Launceston (Rocherlea)
    VIC: Melbourne (Reservoir)
WA: Perth (Osborne Park) and Perth (Wangara)

I was cutting up a 150mm DEV 88* elbow to fit to the old thicknesser and monumentally stuffed up both ends, then realised I could do the same modification with straight pipe and then add elbow.

    I digress

Being away from capital cities sometimes has its drawbacks to replace the elbow

    Pipeonline DWV Plain Bend FF 88° 150mm $15.53 + GST $17.20 approx
    local Reece $34.55 EACH

If I ever have to go to Reece plumbing I feel like taking a balaclava and asking the guy to wear it. When he asks why I’d say I feel its more appropriate to be robbed by someone whose wearing a balaclava.

Luckily I have another 3 plumbing suppliers locally who are more realistic in pricing.
